Recently it became known that since September 11 this year educational schools capitals will test the "Electronic school" project. But what is meant by it? And what innovations await employees and students of these educational institutions?

Part of the information from the journal is duplicated in individual student diaries (demo version http://demo.schools.by/pupil/100140#dnevnik), access to which is provided directly to the child's parents. And the progress table is available for everyone to view.

In addition to electronic diaries and journals, the platform hosts related information about the educational process:

Classroom and teacher timetable;

Call schedule;

Start/end dates of quarters/trimesters;

Graph of class and student progress;

Personal pages of users.

In addition, the Schools.by platform has elements of social networks. The director and teachers, students and their parents - everyone can communicate in this virtual space: leave messages, comment on videos and photos, etc.

The Schools.by platform is free for schools and its employees. But parents will have to pay a certain amount for such an innovation. Payment is made every quarter, while there are two tariffs to choose from:

  1. "Only WEB" - 20000 Bel. rub/month.
  2. "WEB +SMS" - 25000 Bel. rub./month.

Beyond my immediate task, the Belarusian platform "Electronic School" provides the following additional services (http://schools.by/sites/paid-modules#tests):

Online development of tests and control works with the help of a special constructor (the cost of the service is 500,000 Belarusian rubles / year);

Placement of the school website on its own domain (the cost of the service is 200,000 Belarusian rubles / year).

Benefits of the E-School project

New electronic format for educational institutions called up:

Expand the use of familiar school documents: diaries, journals, etc.;

Improve communication between students, their parents and teachers;

Increase parental involvement in educational process(notify the child about the school affairs, convey all the necessary information, etc.);

To teach schoolchildren from childhood to use the Internet in a civilized and productive way to solve certain problems (to implement educational projects, participation in research activities etc.);

To form a culture of virtual communication;

Organize communication between teachers and parents outside the school walls.

Disadvantages of the E-School project

At the current stage of development, a year after the start of implementation, the project faces the following problems:

  1. Belarus does not have a regulatory framework that regulates the provision of electronic services.
  2. There is no systemic nature of the provision of electronic services in educational institutions: "electronicization" is carried out only by individual schools on their own initiative.
  3. It is still difficult to call the Schools.by platform unified educational environment- a network service, but this should be strived for.
  4. Most often, electronic services mean the provision of information, as for complex services that provide interactivity, today they are rare. In fact, there are no resources that allow you to get the result of the implementation of electronic services in the form of a special document. In other words, there is a lack of transactionality.
  5. There is no constant access to a PC for many teachers (in Minsk, on average, 4.3 teachers per 1 PC), and there is also a clear lack of necessary computer and Internet skills.

To address these issues, Belarus should analyze the experience of its closest neighbor. In the implementation of the "Electronic School" project, Russia has taken several steps forward, and has successfully advanced in many of the above issues (Dnevnik.ru network service, a unified legal framework, etc.).

As for the training of teachers, this issue lies entirely on the shoulders of the Minsk City Institute for the Development of Education. A system of special programs, including training seminars, meetings, consultations, etc., will allow to solve it.

Statistics of the project "Electronic school"

According to a survey on the main page of the Schools.by platform, 61% of respondents believe that electronic diaries and magazines for schoolchildren - it's "very convenient." After all, many parents, due to the specifics of their work, some habits, spend a lot of time on the Internet, which means that the E-School project will allow them to monitor the life of their child with maximum convenience and efficiency. However, whether the project will justify their hopes will be seen only in the coming academic year.
