2. Exemplary programs in foreign languages // New state standards for a foreign language. Grades 2-11 / Education in documents and comments. M.: AST: Astrel, 2004.

3. Programs educational institutions. English for grades 10-11 of schools with in-depth study of foreign languages. M.: Education, 2003.

6. Programs of educational institutions. Spanish language for grades 5-11 of schools with in-depth study of foreign languages. M.: Education, 2005.

When developing CIM, the following are also taken into account:

7. Common European Framework of Reference for a Foreign Language: Learning, Teaching, Assessment. MSLU, 2003.

3. Approaches to the selection of content, the development of the structure of the KIM USE

The purpose of the unified state exam in a foreign language is to determine the level of foreign language communicative competence of the examinee. The main attention is paid to speech competence, i.e. communication skills in different types speech activity: listening, reading, writing, as well as language competence, i.e. language knowledge and skills. Sociocultural knowledge and skills are tested indirectly in the sections "Listening", "Reading" and are one of the objects of measurement in the section "Writing"; compensatory skills are checked indirectly in the "Writing" section.

Consequently, KIM USE in foreign languages contains the sections "Listening", "Reading", "Grammar and Vocabulary" and "Writing". At the same time, it should be borne in mind that, although the sections “Listening”, “Reading” and “Writing” have skills in the corresponding types of speech activity as objects of control, these skills are provided with the necessary level of development of the language competence of the examinees. Successful completion tasks for the control of receptive types of speech activity is provided by knowledge of lexical units, morphological forms and syntactic constructions and skills of their recognition/recognition. The tasks of the "Writing" section require from the examinee, in addition to this knowledge, the skills of operating with lexical units and grammatical structures in a communicatively meaningful context. Spelling skills are the object of control in tasks B4-B16 of the "Grammar and Vocabulary" section, as well as tasks C1, C2 of the "Writing" section.

4. The structure of KIM USE

The examination paper contains the sections "Listening", "Reading", "Grammar and Vocabulary" and "Writing".

To differentiate examinees by the levels of foreign language proficiency within the limits formulated in the Federal component of the state standard of general education in foreign languages, all sections are included along with tasks basic level tasks of higher difficulty levels.

The level of difficulty of tasks is determined by the levels of complexity of the language material and the skills being tested, as well as the type of task.
The work on a foreign language includes 28 tasks with a choice of answers from three or four proposed, 16 tasks of an open type with a short answer, including tasks for establishing correspondence, and 2 tasks of an open type with a detailed answer.

Basic, advanced and high levels of difficulty of the USE tasks correlate with the levels of foreign language proficiency defined in the documents of the Council of Europe 1 as follows:

  • Basic level - A2+ 2
  • Advanced level - B1
  • High level - B2

1 Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment. MSLU, 2003.

2 Since the entire possible range of levels of foreign language proficiency is represented in the document of the Council of Europe by only six levels, it is obvious that certain sublevels can be distinguished within each of them. The designation of the basic level of the Unified State Examination as A2+ means that from the description of the level A2 for preparing tasks of the basic level, developers are guided by descriptors that are closer to level B1, and not to level A1.
............................

For proper preparation Undoubtedly, knowledge of the exam format is required for the USE in English. Preparing for the exam, the graduate must be aware of what kind of tasks will be, how they are performed, how to enter the answer on the forms, etc.

Let's take a closer look at the USE format in foreign languages in 2015.

On the this moment in procedure and format conducting the exam there are changes in English. The introduction of a mandatory USE in English, as previously reported, is planned for 2020. It is believed that by this year the level of preparation of students for this exam will be sufficient.

The duration of the examination paper is 180 minutes. The minimum passing score is 20 points.

An elective oral response section has been added to the exam. The maximum score for the exam is 100 points. If the examinee refuses the fifth (oral) section, the maximum score will be 80 points.

On the website of the Federal Institute of Pedagogical Measurements www.fipi.ru, the publication of an open bank of tasks for the Unified State Examination and GIA-9 has begun. It presents all types of examination tasks for all USE subjects and GIA-9, including English. The filling of the open bank will take place in stages. The materials of the open bank of tasks for the Unified State Examination and GIA -9 will be freely available free of charge.

Control and measuring materials (KIM) in foreign languages have their own characteristics. The types of tasks in a foreign language are not arranged in the order of gradual complication of the task, but according to the method of speech activity. Main sections: Listening, Reading, Grammar and Vocabulary, Writing, Speaking. In 2015, KIMs introduced continuous numbering of tasks without letters A, B, C, and reshaping of answer sheet #1. Listening comprehension items A1-A7 have changed their format. This group of tasks was replaced by task 2 - to find the correspondence of the proposed statements to the content of the sounding text True-False-Not stated. Thus, total number tasks in the written part of the work is reduced to 40 while maintaining the overall primary score- 80 points.

Since in 2015 a new concept of the oral part of the Unified State Examination in foreign languages is introduced (without the participation of an examiner-interlocutor based on information and communication technologies using visual supports), the form of section 5 will differ significantly from that planned earlier. Instead of three tasks (2 dialogues and one oral statement of a monologue nature), it is planned to introduce 4 tasks. see below.

All exam tasks are based on texts, there are no tasks that involve working with individual sentences.

When the student comes to the exam, he is given a sealed individual package. It contains KIMs with indents and spaces for answers, a registration sheet, which is filled in with a black gel pen, and two answer forms. A graduate can use KIM as a draft, entering his answers as preliminary (it must be borne in mind that the draft is not taken into account when filing an appeal, only the answer entered in the answer form is taken into account). In the answer forms, the first one is intended for types of tasks 1 - 38, and the examinee enters his version of the written task into the second form (39, 40).

In the first section, Listening, examinees listen to three audio recordings. The recording for all examinees is played one, but the questions in each package are different.

There are two tasks in the Letter section: 39 (letter of a personal nature) - a basic level task, mandatory. Task 40 - written reasoning, an essay of increased complexity. If the answers of several students coincide by 30 percent or more, that is, a standard answer memorized, the answer is not counted, since this task tests productive creative speech. In the Letter section, there is an upper and lower limit for the volume of the answer, for a personal letter - 100-140 words, for an essay - 200-250 words. If the volume boundaries are violated by more than 10% in each direction, the answer is not counted.

In the Grammar section, if the form of the word is entered with an error in the form, the answer is not taken into account.

The answers are computer processed, so it is very important to use only a black gel pen.

Federal component of the state standard in foreign languages and sample programs are two-level, that is, different schools, even in different classes one school, a foreign language can be taught at the basic level and at profile level. The exam also uses tasks of different levels of complexity. In all sections, along with tasks of the basic level, tasks of higher levels of complexity are included.

Basic, advanced and high levels of difficulty correlate with the levels of foreign language proficiency defined in: basic level - A2 +; elevated level - B1; high level - B2.

The tasks of the basic level are built on the material that should be mastered by students by the end of the 9th grade. Advanced - knowledge, skills and abilities acquired by the end of grade 11 while studying in the basic program. Tasks high level- the program of schools or classes with in-depth study of a foreign language.

Presently examination paper in English consists of four written sections, including 40 tasks, and one oral section, including 4 tasks.
Section 1("Listening") includes 9 tasks, of which the first is to establish correspondence, the second - to find the correspondence of the proposed statements to the content of the sounding text True-False-Not stated and 7 tasks with the choice of one correct answer from three proposed. Recommended time to complete this section is 30 minutes.
Section 2(“Reading”) includes 9 tasks, of which the first task is to establish a correspondence, the second task is to fill in the gaps with parts of sentences and 7 tasks with the choice of one correct answer out of four proposed. Recommended time to complete this section is 30 minutes.
Section 3(“Grammar and Vocabulary”) includes 20 tasks, of which 13 are short-answer tasks and 7 tasks are with the choice of one correct answer out of four proposed. When completing tasks with a short answer, you must write the answer yourself in the appropriate place of work.
Recommended time to complete this section is 40 minutes.
At the end of the tasks of each of these sections, you must transfer your answers to the answer sheet No. 1.
Section 4(“Letter”) consists of two tasks and is a small written work (writing a personal letter) and a written statement with elements of reasoning. The recommended time to complete this section of the work is 80 minutes. Draft notes can be made directly on the worksheet, or you can use a separate draft. Any draft notes (draft) are not checked or evaluated. Only the answer option entered in the answer sheet No. 2 is subject to assessment!

Section 5

1) task 1 basic level of complexity - reading a fragment of informational or
popular science, stylistically neutral text;
2) task 2 of the basic level of complexity - a conditional dialogue-questioning based on
verbal situation and photograph (picture);

(picture);
4) task 4 of a high level of complexity - the creation of a monologue

Since the purpose of the exam in a foreign language is to check the level of proficiency in learning skills
unprepared spontaneous speech within the framework of topics and situations, the time for preparing a spontaneous answer (without the use of preliminary notes) will be reduced to 1 minute. Visual support will be displayed on the computer screen. The examinee gets acquainted with the task right in the examination room, sitting in front of the computer, and has only 1 minute to collect his thoughts.

The structure and content of the oral part of the exam in foreign languages

Oral part of the exam in foreign languages will be conducted in a computerized form, without the participation of the examiner-interlocutor, with the constant presence in the audience of the organizer responsible for observing the procedure and the technical part. During the answer of the examinee (up to 15 minutes, including preparation time - 1.5 minutes for each of the four tasks), an audio recording of the answer is made. Evaluation is carried out by two specially trained experts based on criteria and evaluation schemes. At the exam, general instructions for the exam procedure and instructions for each task of the oral part are presented to the examinee on the computer screen, visual supports (photos and pictures) are given in color. Recording level setting is provided. Goes
countdown, and the screen constantly has an inscription, how many minutes and seconds remain for preparation or response.
