To enter the theater you need:
To know that having entered, you do not automatically become an artist and a star!
As well as
1. Want to enroll
2. Know what you are doing and dooming yourself.
3. Selflessly love this business and not imagine yourself in anything else.
4. Read carefully all the requirements and rules on the websites of the universities where you are going to enter
5. You need to try at once in all institutes.
6. Prepare the program a year before admission.
7. Work out at the institute courses or with a teacher who will help you choose the right program
8. Find out in advance about all tours and exams
9. Do not worry about the Unified State Examination. A passing score is enough. There you gain points through entrance exams.
It will take a lot of strength, health and perseverance.

In 2011 according to the results of admission:

in SHEPKE - minimum score 330 (for 3 introductory + USE)

MINIMUM USE SCORE 2011
GITIS

RUSSIAN 36 points

In others the same. Plus three to five points, but not higher than 41)))))))

QUESTION ABOUT THE SUCCESS OF MY DAUGHTER ALICE

Entered VGIK and GITIS, studying at GITIS, Morozov's workshop. Budget.

People often ask how to understand your university or not. My opinion is this.
Well, in principle, you can calculate. You need to watch the performances of the Moscow Art Theater and understand if you want to play in them. Yes? Enter the Moscow Art Theater. See the Vakhtangov (Pike). Gitis does not have his own theater, so you need to watch the performances of the Master, who is gaining. VGIK rests on work in front of the camera, so after it it is difficult to get into the theater. Of course, this is not universal advice, but you can at least feel yours, not yours.

And my question is for those who want to do it.

Are you ready to study with such a schedule for every day (including Saturday)???

This is the schedule for one day of the 1st course
9.30 - 11.00 Foreign literature
11.05 - 12.35 Foreign theater
13.05 - 14.30 Mastery
14.35 - 16.00 Mastery
16.05 - 17.30 Mastery
17.35 - 19.00 Mastery
19.05 - 20.30 Mastery
20.35 - 22.00 Mastery

Many still asked if they would have time to earn extra money somewhere.)))))))))

Are you ready to wear chairs for six months, depict objects and actions. Learn to roll and stand on your ears?
The most difficult thing is etudes. Invent stories, show them. Learn now. Circumstances, goal, event (prevents achieving the goal) and the resolution of the situation.

about admission
1. teacher's article Filshtinsky

The practice of all admissions committees in all theater universities in Russia and the world of all times shows the same general sad trend: almost the majority of applicants do not understand where they are going to study, what exactly they will do and why they need it. This is especially true for girls aged 16-30, who make up the main stream of those who want to study at the acting department. If you really want to enter a theater university in Moscow, let's start with a sober assessment of your abilities and prospects.

Ask yourself, do you know where you are going? What, in essence, do you know about the backstage side of the theater, and what caused your desire to connect your life with it? If the answers to these questions are ambiguous for you, maybe you should think it over again?
  • Have you ever been to the theater on the other side of the wings?
  • Have you ever attended a play rehearsal?
  • Have you taken part in at least one serious production?
  • Do you have a good idea what an actor does when he is not playing on stage, that is, 90% of his working time?
If the word “no” prevails among the answers, then you are taking a step into the unknown. This step can cost you a lot (preparation for admission to a theater university, admission itself, the cost of studying, etc.), take a lot of time and never bring any results. In addition to the fact that 200–300 people apply for one place at the acting department of an average metropolitan university, no one will guarantee that upon graduation you will become an artist. It all depends on how sick you are with the theater, the acting profession and what you are ready to put on this altar of art.

Selection criteria for the acting department

There are general regulatory requirements for university applicants, such as minimum education, citizenship, sometimes age, etc. We will not go into these in detail, instead we will talk about what the admissions committee pays attention to.
  • Appearance. This is not decisive, but a very important indicator. The actor must have a bright textured appearance, a zest that makes his facial expression or facial expressions memorable. Considerable importance is attached to the figure: usually girls are asked to come to the audition in a medium-length skirt and heels.
  • Plasticity and rhythm. Body - main tool actor, and despite the fact that the course of acting teaches how to use it, possession of the body is welcome already at the stage of passing the entrance exam. One can not even mention the sense of rhythm, an actor without it is not an actor.
  • Voice and speech. Speech defects, unpleasant timbre, weak voice- all this can be regarded as professional unsuitability of the applicant. Even if the defects are correctable, and the voice may well open up thanks to simple exercises, the stage speech teacher is not a speech therapist, and he will not have time to set up sounds for individual students.
  • expressiveness. This is a collective term, by which we mean all acting professional qualities at once. The ability to broadcast visions, infect the viewer with their emotions, attract and hold attention, and so on. Evaluated by a creative exam (etude, monologue, excerpt from prose, fable, poem).

Preparation for admission

To enter the theater institute, you need to prepare (in addition to the exam) in two areas: a creative exam and an interview (colloquium). The creative exam includes:
  • reading is usually a monologue, a poem, a fable and an excerpt from prose;
  • acting skills - an etude on a free topic, independent or with the participation of several people;
  • dance and vocals - separately dance and song numbers.
The skill of an actor is priority creative exam. Excerpts from literary works, song and dance should also be presented in an acting vein. The examination committee will evaluate not so much your diction, plasticity and vocal abilities as the playful presentation of the works.
A colloquium is an interview at which the applicant is asked questions about the history of the theater, the theory of acting, art history, and also gets acquainted with it. This is a cross between an oral examination for erudition, knowledge of the subject and a job interview. Teachers will certainly ask about the reasons for choosing the acting profession, about the goals that you are pursuing when entering the course, about your past theatrical experience, etc. Never tell the examiners that you were engaged in theater studios, participated in amateur performances, etc. Teachers are afraid of stamps like fire, and all stamps, in their opinion, come from non-professional theater. As part of general education program to enter the theater, you need to pass the Russian language and literature without fail. Without these items in the USE assessment sheet, your documents will not be accepted at the selected university.
The exam takes place in three rounds. At each round, the examination committee listens (or views) a part of the program prepared by you. In what order this will happen depends on the university. At each round, a certain part of the applicants is eliminated, the competition becomes tougher, the requirements are stricter. You should expect a huge queue, a crazy flow of people, an exhausted commission and a strictly allotted time in which you will have to fit the best moments of your creative program.
Choose the material so as not to waste time. Too long prefaces and opening speeches can lead to the fact that you are simply stopped.
Ignore the reaction that your performance provokes (and most likely it will not provoke any reaction at all). Expect surprises from the commission. If one of the examiners is interested in your performance, he can give you an arbitrary improvisation exercise. For example, the circumstances for the study. The main thing here is not to get confused, not to give up, but to instantly join the proposed study and exist in it until you are stopped.

Which university in Moscow is easier to enter

It is very difficult to enter any theater university in Moscow due to the extremely high number of applicants. Objectively, the most chances are where there are the fewest applicants for a place, and these figures vary from year to year. The best thing to do is to apply to several theater universities at once, thereby seriously increasing the chances of passing the competition in any one. In the face of such fierce competition, it is more likely that educational institutions choose their students than students choose their places of study. Approach your preparation responsibly: in the end, your success will be 90% dependent on how you present yourself during the creative exam and how you endure the colloquium.

We met Irina when we entered the Moscow Art Theater School together. I remember it was the penultimate day of the tours, it was pouring rain, which was so inopportune (we had to wait outside for auditions), and we were dressed up waiting for our turn in order to demonstrate our talents to the teachers of this "mecca". Then for us everything ended not quite happily. They didn’t take us, but we weren’t upset (there were still other cult theater universities ahead, and the Moscow Art Theater was one of the first) and after listening we went for a walk through the streets. Now Ira is a second-year student of KazGUKI. that in Kazan). I decided to ask her about studying at a creative university, fear of the future, and getting a second higher education in a “normal” specialty.

The ideal school day should be rich, creative and long...

Ira, did you dream of becoming an actress since childhood, or did this decision come about by chance?

As a child, I wanted to become an actress, however, then the decisions related to the choice of profession were constantly changing, perhaps under the influence of adults. But at about 15 years old, I realized that this is the profession I want to master most of all, that this is the profession that will bring me happiness.

And did you enroll in any drama circle or courses?

In the 11th grade, I went to a studio at an amateur theater. I studied for about six months, then I started to act.

Did you prepare yourself for admission or did they help you with this?

In the first year of admission, I prepared on my own, the second time I turned to a teacher.

Aren't you upset because you didn't get it right the first time?

When I realized that I didn’t get into any university, I was upset. However, I decided to study for a year in another specialty. You know, I was even inspired and delighted with the new experience. In the middle of the year, I left to prepare for admission again.

What faculty did you study at?

At the Faculty of Film and Television, at the director of non-fiction films.

Still, these are related specialties, could you get a diploma of a director?

In fact, it only seems so, but in practice they are two different worlds.

Since this profession is quite specific, did you have any problems with your parents because of your choice?

No, it was not.

How did they react to the fact that you want to study in Moscow?

They, of course, were worried, because I went alone so far, and even for the first time.

Can you please tell us how your typical day at university goes?

It would be better if you asked about a particular subject, because the days depend on the classes. Some day may consist only of lectures.

Okay, I'll ask differently. Describe your ideal day at university? What should it be?

Intense, creative and long, associated with gaining new experience and knowledge. It is also desirable that it does not begin with the first pair.

Maybe you have already prepared or are preparing some excerpts on acting skills with the course?

Ready. To the anniversary of the 70th anniversary of the victory. We were preparing a short excerpt consisting of letters written during the war. We got a very useful experience.

Do you already have favorite teachers?

Of course. These are teachers in specialty subjects, we love them very much and adore learning from them, we try to “absorb” all the knowledge that they give us. Communication with them is priceless, of course.

I know that after the first year in theater universities there is a “screening out” of those students who turned out to be unsuitable for this profession. Has your course been touched by such a purge?

Our course is not affected. The two guys left of their own accord.

Maybe you have seen what kind of material teachers in senior years like to work with?

It seems to me that we will rather work with the classics, but we can also play modern ones.

Do you think it is important to get an acting education in the capital?

I think that this, of course, is very cool, however, it is not a 100% guarantee of professionalism. It all depends on your master and on yourself.

Do you have any plans to go to one of the capitals after your studies?

Immediately after my studies, I will most likely go to the theater where they will take me.

Does your university help young professionals with employment?

No. Most likely, this is our concern.

Is there a fear that after the theater you can not get a job by profession? Are you thinking of getting a second higher education in a profession that is more relevant now?

My opinion is: who really wants to, sooner or later will get a job. I don't think about the second highest now.

Do you have a dream role?

There is no defined role.

Give advice to applicants entering the theater university. How to proceed? How to please the master?

Don't be afraid and just be yourself.

Thank you for your answers.

37. Opera House. Name the operas you know.

How to enter the theater - this question, perhaps, was asked at least once by everyone who lives in love with cinema and theater, who sees himself exclusively on stage or on the big screen and dreams of popular glory. If you are ready for the hard life of a theater student, do not mind studying from morning to night and working on yourself every day, then hurry up to get acquainted with the details of the admission process and start preparing now.

The process of admission to theater schools comes down to several stages, which are fundamentally no different from each other.

Selection consultation

First, the applicant goes through a selection consultation and pre-examination auditions, which are called rounds.

Upon arrival at the university, you must personally present your passport. In some educational institutions, in order to get to the selection consultation, you must sign up in advance by sending an email to the email address that can be found on the university's website, and in some you just get into a live queue.

In order not to miss the period of these auditions, you need to find out on the website of the educational institution the number admission committee and find out the dates. Consultations usually begin as early as April.

Pre-exam auditions

A program is being prepared for the tours - they select certain material with which a potential student will perform at auditions. It is imperative to prepare a poem, an excerpt from prose, a fable, which are learned by heart.

At all auditions, the same program is read - having performed with one material at the selection consultation, no more changes should be made.

Members of the commission listen to applicants - as a rule, these are several university teachers and a master - one of them who is gaining a course. The master may not listen to you on the first round, but he will certainly appear on the next ones.

Auditions from the first to the third round are considered entrance exams. At them, applicants again perform with their program and perform additional creative tasks.

Always checking vocals - this does not mean that you will become a singer, but vocal preparation is an important skill for working in theater and cinema. But different teachers can ask you to show anything - you will have to dance, and show your ability to improvise, demonstrate your other talents - playing a musical instrument, gymnastic skills, etc.

Exams

The apotheosis is the so-called competition - the final creative competition for admission to a theater university. It differs from previous auditions in that the number of applicants is significantly reduced, claims to the selection are toughened, and the participants will listen to the maximum a large number of teachers led by the master.

If the applicant has not previously demonstrated his vocal skills and plasticity, they may be asked to show them at the competition. Perhaps they will ask you to make an etude - play a mini-sketch on a given topic, tell tongue twisters.

After the creative competition, general education competitions remain.

Graduates Russian schools provide their results according to the Unified state exam(USE) in Russian language and literature, and applicants with higher education, who graduated from school before 2009 and foreigners take an exam in these two subjects at the university itself.

Applicants to Ukrainian universities submit the results of the External independent evaluation(VNO) on the history of Ukraine and Ukrainian language and literature; foreigners, people with higher education and those who received secondary education before 2008 take exams in these subjects at the university.

All applicants write an essay and participate in a colloquium. This step is a test general erudition and the cultural background of the applicant, therefore, if there are gaps in this part, it is worth preparing better: there will be questions about literature, history, theater, and the theory of performing arts.

Only after passing the selection consultation in educational institution, the applicant can submit documents. This is done to weed out unnecessary people on the early stages and not to waste resources on processing unnecessary documentation - those who want to enter a theater university in Russia generally have two hundred people per place or more. In Ukrainian universities, the competition is ten times less, but it is still very difficult to enter.

The following documents should be prepared:

  • application addressed to the rector;
  • a copy of the passport (show the original at the university);
  • a copy of the certificate of assignment of an identification number;
  • certificate of secondary education or diploma;
  • results of the Unified State Examination or UPE;
  • medical certificate form No. 086-U;
  • photo 3 x 4 in the amount of 6 pieces;
  • guys - a military ID or a written certificate.

Universities require submission of original documents. Therefore, if you are applying to several universities at once, you will have to make notarized copies of the originals.

You need to prepare for admission to the theater at least a year in advance.

Enter all theatrical universities of your chosen city at once in order to increase your chances. Don't forget to find out detailed information about each university, what kind of “school” is there, what kind of teachers, who is the master who is gaining a course.

Do not forget about self-education - read a lot fiction, read the works of Stanislavsky and Mikhail Chekhov (at the same time, you won’t confuse him with Anton Pavlovich at the colloquium), be sure to read about the history of the theater.

You must come to the audition well-rested, healthy and in a fighting mood - it will be a shame when, because of such a state, you cannot enter.

When you introduce yourself to the commission, try to sound even and confident, despite your inner feelings.

Remember, in fact, your main task is to impress the master. Before starting auditions, find out what kind of person he is, how he teaches, where he played, what performances he staged - form an opinion about what is close to him and what he can be interested in.

Applicants come in to audition by the dozen; in the first or second, you can not particularly strive, but then be more active. Do not waste time: teachers are people too, they get tired, irritated, attention dissipates by the end of the day, and you may simply not be appreciated.

How to make a program

The question of preparing the program should bother you immediately after the question of how to enter the theater. You have to think carefully about your repertoire, study it, let it through yourself and then not look fake at auditions. For the same reason, it is not advised to change the program during the tours - it takes a lot of time for high-quality retraining.

Prepare several versions of each piece, preferably three poems, fables, and prose passages.

The recommended list of literature is often posted on the websites of universities, do not be lazy and study, but you can try to learn something on your own. For prose and poetry, it is better to choose something from classical literature. You absolutely do not need to read your author's work - it's not important whether you know how to write poetry, but how you can convey someone else's message to the audience. Looking for fables - take Krylov and you will not be mistaken.

The main principle of the selection of works is to cook what is close to you, what you can understand and convey to the viewer.

Try to choose diverse works, but in accordance with your type. Evaluate yourself from the outside and decide how to present yourself: maybe the image suits you romantic hero, or maybe you are a natural comedian? The discrepancy between the external type and material can be fatal for your theatrical future.

Those who want to enter the theater often turn to professional educators, go to courses, but remember: this approach deprives your performance of individuality, because all the works and the way they are presented will not be chosen by you. In any case, it’s better not to talk about such an experience of preparing a commission - everyone wants the student to not be initially seasoned with someone else’s experience and vision of acting.

Speaking with the program, start reciting from the part of the work on which you put the main emphasis. Do not think that now you will tell the introduction, and then ingeniously lead to a bright moment - the commission will not listen to you for a long time, and you should immediately interest the audience.

your appearance

Girls need to emphasize their femininity. Put on a skirt or dress of medium length, a short skirt will obviously not please the commission, just like a skirt to the floor. And in general, don't wear anything provocative. Very flat shoes or high heels are not an option, choose a medium heel.

Bright makeup is not approved, but you shouldn’t come without it at all - stop at natural light makeup with an emphasis on the eyes. Hair should be tied in a ponytail, in any case, take an elastic band with you.

Young men should dress simply and decently: dress pants, a shirt or a T-shirt will come in handy, but do not wear a jacket - it should not hinder your movements. No extravagant outfits and sports shoes, your choice is shoes. Facial hair is also not welcome, so it is better to shave smoothly.
